Check it out!

Hey guys. So I said I was going to try and get a photo of Lita with the artwork I had planned to give her (which is OF her by the way).
Well, a few hours ago.. I DID IT!
She really loved it and asked how I made it, said she was going to hang it up back at home. She seemed really grateful which was heaps cool!

Artwork in photo is on canvas. I painted the background first with white/cream coloured acrylic then sprayed a bit for effect and then added the stencil.

PLEASE ignore me in the photo, I look absolutely stunned. You always have these things planned out, you work out how you'll pose in the photo, what questions you'll ask etc etc. Then when you get called up to meet your idol/someone you look up to/fave musician etc, and EVERYTHING you've been thinking suddenly vanishes, your brain leaves your body and laughs at you from a distance as you flail and stutter and say "YOU'RE AWESOME THANKS FOR BEING HERE." or something like that.. And then they take the photo and you stand there awkwardly, looking like a deer in the headlights, shaking with nerves or something.. YEAH. That's me when I meet musicians I like! I was going to point and make a cool face, strike a pose.. NO it didn't even cross my mind when the guy took this photo.
BUT then you look back at how silly you look in the photo, what you should've done or said, wonder why you were so nervous in the first place, but then just think, HEY at least you got to meet this person and have this moment! Lots of people never get to do that! So if you had a moment like I did and you think you fucked it up, just remember how lucky you were to even meet your idol or whoever. They don't care how nervous you are, they don't even know you! I will still look at this and shake my head with embarrassment at myself, but I will mostly be grateful for it!

In case you're wondering, Who the F is she?
She was the lead guitarist in The Runaways in the late 70s (First all girl band to break ground) She then went on to become a solo heavy metal/glam musicians, one of the greatest guitar players of the time.. She's still out rocking today with a new album 'Living Like A Runaway'. She played in Sydney tonight and that is where I met her! She's deadset awesome live.
